Friends,

Dale Lockwood
It was close. Very close.

Unfortunately, we came up just a bit short. But what I’m dwelling on today are the positive results of the last few months. The friendships we formed and the people that we met during the campaign mean the world to my family and me. I would like to let you know how much I appreciate the support that so many people gave during the last three months. My family and I learned a lot about Fort Collins and the wonderful people that help make it the great place that it is. I wish the new council the best of luck.

People who I had never met would come on the weekends and pick up packets and walk miles delivering flyers. Others donated hard earned money to the effort. These donations allowed us to create great campaign pieces, have yard signs, contact voters many times, and to have the supplies needed to make it all come together. Many others spread the word through their friends and by calling on my behalf. The letters to the editor were great and I appreciate every one that was written (even if the Coloradoan didn’t publish them all!). Our campaign had over 200 donors and over 40 volunteers.

We could not have made it happen without all of you. The long hours spent on the campaign were made so much better by the help and support that we received.

Thank you again for all of your time, support and hard work. It will not be forgotten.

Sincerely,
